OBAA Awards
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Government of Ontario is pleased to present the following awards:
ICAO Award for Corporate Governance
This award honours a business that demonstrates excellence in raising the standard as an exemplary corporate citizen and makes a commitment in areas such as corporate governance or environmental stewardship.
Desjardins Award for Large Business
This rewards two large businesses (of over 100 employees) who are forward-thinking in their overall business practice from escalating sales and developing new markets to boosting employee morale and skill acquisition to elevating environmental stewardship and corporate citizenship.
Innovation Award
This award recognizes Ontario businesses and leaders that exemplify innovation andhave demonstrated excellence in advancement, adaptability or design of a product or service.
RBC Award for Small Business
This rewards two small businesses (of under 100 employees) who are forward-thinking in their overall business practice from escalating sales and new market development, to boosting employee morale and skill acquisition, to elevating environmental stewardship and corporate citizenship. They prove that being small does not make them any less competitive.
Ontario Global Traders Awards (OGTA)
The Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation partners with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce to recognize Ontario’s most innovative and successful exporters. The OGTA award recognizes Ontario small to medium-sized, private-sector, for-profit enterprises that meet the following criteria:
- Annual sales of less than $100 million
- A maximum of 200 employees
- Conducting business in Ontario for at least three fiscal years
- Currently exporting to one or more countries and,
- Exports sales that are at least 15 per cent of total sales.
OGTA Awards Categories:
NRT Technology Innovation – Exports Award
Highlights three businesses (gold, silver and bronze) that are able to expand exports and create jobs by developing a new product or service, or make improvements to existing products or services through the application of an existing or new technology.
Market Expansion Award
Spotlights three pioneering small to medium enterprises who have significantly increased export sales and employment by successfully establishing themselves in a new export market while maintaining presence in their current markets, or by overcoming difficult obstacles in order to establish their business within a new market.
